Describe the clinical findings in bullous diabeticorum. Bullous diabeticorum is characterized by tense bullae that arise spontaneously on the distal extremities in patients with both insulin-dependent and non–insulin-dependent diabetes. The course is chronic and recurring. The diagnosis is made by the clinical findings and skin biopsy. Although the histologic findings are not specific, they may help to rule out other bullous diseases. |
