What are the clinical course and prognosis of angiosarcoma?

The tumor grows rapidly and often ulcerates. Metastases occur early, especially to the lungs, pleura, and chest wall.
Death usually occurs within 1 to 2 years as a result of the disease, with widespread pulmonary, cardiac, and/or brain metastases.
