What is dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans? Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) is a firm, locally aggressive tumor that exhibits massive proliferation of spindle cells in the dermis and subcutaneous fat. These cells form intersecting bundles with a characteristic storiform (cartwheel) arrangement. The pigmented variant is called Bednar tumor. |
