Commonly implicated drugs include allopurinol, amoxicillin, ampicillin, barbiturates, carbamazepine, gold, NSAIDs, phenobarbital, phenytoin, and sulfonamides.
Mycoplasma pneumoniae and other infections are also well documented to produce Stevens-Johnson syndrome (Fig. 14-3).
