Where and when does lupus vulgaris develop? Lupus vulgaris most often affects patients in their second or third decade of life. The most common site of involvement is the head and neck and, in particular, the nose, cheek, and earlobe. There may be extension to involve the oral, nasal, or conjunctival mucosa. In the tropics, the buttocks and lower extremities are more often involved. |
