Which antifungal drugs have a limited spectrum of activity in the treatment of superficial fungal infections? Griseofulvin is not effective against tinea versicolor or cutaneous candidiasis. Oral nystatin is not absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. Topical nystatin and amphotericin are both ineffective against dermatophyte infections. Allylamines have limited effectiveness against tinea versicolor and candidiasis.
