What are the most common presenting symptoms of NF-2? Hearing loss or tinnitus related to underlying vestibular schwannomas is the presenting symptom in the majority of patients, developing at a mean age of 20 years. Other presenting symptoms relate to underlying CNS tumors (20% to 30%), skin tumors (12.7%), and ocular abnormalities (12.7%).
