What is Wegener’s granulomatosis?

Wegener’s granulomatosis is an uncommon multisystem vascultitis that is characterized by vasculitis and necrotizing granulomatosis inflammation that most commonly affects the upper respiratory tract, lungs, and kidneys. It has been estimated that the prevalence in the United States is approximately 3 per 100,000 individuals.
