Diagnosis

In general aspect the affection may be mistaken for a papular syphilide, or a papular eczema, but hardly for any other than those two diseases, except it be the lichen ruber of Hebra. The positive features, however, that have been detailed above do not occur in the diseases mentioned, and are sufficient of themselves to establish the diagnosis.
