The most common nonspecific cutaneous lesion is erythema nodosum, which may be present in 13% to 20% of patients. Clinically and histologically, it is identical to erythema nodosum associated with other conditions. Less common nonspecific cutaneous lesions include acquired ichthyosis (Fig. 13-5A), calcinosis cutis, erythema multiforme, and nail clubbing.
