How does panhypopituitarism affect the skin? The skin in patients with panhypopituitarism appears pale, and there are fine wrinkles around the eyes and mouth. Body hair and genital hair are sparse. Sweat and sebum production are also diminished. The skin dryness and thickening are not as prominent as in primary hypothyroidism because there is some autonomous thyroid gland function in panhypopituitarism. |
